chotu is a platform to connect the buyer with local shops, but not a marketplace. Hence, chotu does not stand between the you (buyer) and the shop owner(seller). We just facilitate a conversation.

Everything related to commerce ( product availability, pricing, quality, shipping, delivery, payment terms and everything else related to commerce ) is to be negotiated between the buyer and shop owner. chotu is not responsible for any of the shops, the products purchased or the payments made to the shop owners.

When you place an order, it is placed directly with the shop owner on WhatsApp and not with chotu. Hence, chotu is not responsible towards the delivery of the order. Whether a product/service ordered by you will be home-delivered or not is at the sole discretion of the shop-owner. chotu does not collect any payments, hence you pay the shop owner directly in a mode of choice, agreed upon by you and the shop owner.

Your orders land on shop owner’s WhatsApp, hence the shop owner will know your WhatsApp number. However, chotu does not store this information.

The current directory of shops is built from several credible online sources, however chotu cannot guarantee the authenticity of the data. If you find a listing is incorrect or suspicious, please report to us immediately by clicking on “wrong details? please report” button. But for those listings explicitly marked as verified, the source of the shop information is only from credible online sources.
